David A. Champlin, 37, of Fenwick, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Dec. 25,
2006, at his home.  He was born May 30, 1969, in Belding to Keith D. and Alice
Mae Cazier Champlin.  

He married Rebecca Lee Horn on Aug. 26, 1995, in Sheridan.  David was a resident
of Fenwick since March 2000, formerly of Belding where he grew up.  He was
employed as a truck driver for Consumers Concrete in Ionia.  David was an avid
outdoorsman who loved spending time with his family, especially his sons, who
were his pride and joy.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Champlin; and grandparents, Rex
and Mae Cazier.  He is survived by his wife, Rebecca “Becky” Champlin; sons,
Philip Horn, Clinton Horn, David Champlin II, Elijah Champlin, Nolan Champlin,
all at home; father, Keith Champlin of Belding; mother-in-law, Cathy Horn of
Brundidge, Ala.; brother, Adam Champlin of Stanton; sisters, Penny Champlin,
Sara Champlin, both of Belding; brother-in-law, Don and Stephanie Rolston-Horn
of Savannah, Ga.; sisters-in-law, Bobie Jo Horn of Buckley, Angela Horn of
Cadillac; nephew, Alex Champlin; and nieces, Brittney Champlin, Kadryne
Champlin, Zoe Rolston-Horn and Maranda Rolston-Horn.

Funeral services were Thursday at Simpson Family Funeral Home, Sheridan, with
Pastor Bill Overton officiating.  Interment is in Sheridan Cemetery.
