Lake Odessa Wave - Times - August 25, 1911
          CHARLES MAURICE CHAMPLIN
   Charles Maurice Champlin, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Champlin, was born
in Odessa township 
March 2, 1910 and departed this life Aug 22, 1911 after a short but severe illness,
and though Charles had 
been a member of the family only about a year and a half the devotion of father and
mother and grandmother 
was very great; nothing was left undone that human skill could do to save the life
of the little sufferer but all in 
vain.
   Death chilled the fair fountain e're sorrow had stained it.
   'Twas frozen in all the pure light of its course.
   And but sleeps till the Sunshine of heaven has unchained it,
   To enter that Eden where first was its course.
   The funeral services were held at the home at 10:30 Thursday morning conducted by
Rev. W. J. Prestidge 
and interment was in Lakeside cemetery.

   To the many friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted us at the time of the
death and burial of our baby 
boy, and for the beautiful flowers and to the singers we wish to tender our
heartfelt thanks and may God bless
