Sentinel-Standard - Friday, 30 Sept. 1949

Horace Champlin, 86, retired Campbell and Odessa township farmer and a 
resident of the county his entire life, died early Thursday at the home of 
his daughter, Mrs. Florence Strickling of Mason.

Mr. Champlin retired from farming 15 years ago and moved to Lake Odessa.

Funeral services are to be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Pickens Funeral 
home at Lake Odessa with burial at Lakeside cemetery.

Survivors include the daughter and son, Howard of Doster, a sister, Mrs. 
Elizabeth Nelson of Clarksville and a brother Alfred Champlin of Ionia.
