Ionia Sentinel Standard, 30 Aug 1951

Services for Bert A. Chandler, 76, of West Washington street who died Monday at 
4:30 a.m. at the Ionia County Memorial hospital were conducted Wednesday at 2 
p.m. at the Myers funeral home by the Rev. George Rentschler.  Interment was in 
Balcom cemetery.  Bearers were Joseph Sawtell, George Mileski, Arthur Sawtell 
and Robert Roche.  Mrs. Joseph Sawtell, sr., had charge of the flowers.

Attending the services from away were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Reynolds of Stanton, 
Lloyd Swainston and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Swainston, Lyons; Mr. and Mrs. Leon 
Miles of Six Lakes, Mr. and Mrs. Newton Parsons of Grand Ledge, Al Brockman of 
Orleans, Arthur Sawtell with the U.S. Navy in Rhode Island and Robert Roche 
with the U.S. Navy at Great Lakes, Ill.
