He was born on September 9, 1932 in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of Red and Maria Chanoine. He attended school in Memphis and was married to Lois Collins on February 28, 1966 in Royal Oak. He lived in Florida before moving to Lake Odessa in 1990. Mr. Chanoine served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict for over three years. He was District Manager for the Ace Auto Parts in Bradenton, Florida for 15 years. Surviving are his wife, Lois; one son, Paul Chanoine of New Hampshire; one daughter, Sandy (Al) Gordon of West Bloomfield; three step children, Richard Bailey of Lake Odessa, Phillip Bailey of St. Petersburg, Florida, Judith Culver of Ferndale; six grandchildren; three step grandchildren; one step great grandson; one brother, Byron Chanoine of West Virginia. Memorial services were held on Monday December 18, 1995 at the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa with Reverend George Speas officiating. Interment was in Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Detroit. Arrangements were made by Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa.
