Ionia Sentinel Standard, 18 Apr 1983

Ethel Marie Chapin, 84, Morse St., Ionia, died Friday at Belding Community 
Hospital.

She was born near Ithaca Sept. 9, 1898, the daughter of Hugh and Ella Lockwood 
Davis.  She attended Bannister schools and married Manuel Chapin Feb. 2, 1915.

They lived most of their married lives in Ionia, and he preceded her in death 
Oct. 6, 1961.  She was a member of the Temple Baptist Church.

Survivors include four sons, Myrl of Ashley, Dale of Edmore, Douglas of Fenwick 
and Arnold of Grand Rapids; three daughters, Arvell Dibble of Lansing; Iva 
Fulton of Alma and Audrey Tuller of Ionia; 17 grandchildren, 23 great 
grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be today at 1 p.m. from the Temple Baptist Church, with 
the Rev. Ralph Barton officiating.  Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Memorials are to the Temple Baptist Church and the Michigan Heart Fund.  
Contributions may be left at the Leddick Funeral Home.
