Roger D. Chapman, 58, of Clarksville, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 17, 2006.
 He was a graduate of Ferris State University and a member of sigma Phi Epsilon
Fraternity.  Mr. Chapman was a past president and very active in Lowell Rotary,
a member of Lakewood United Methodist church where he was head usher and member
of the building committee, a supporter of Lowell Area School programs, a Promise
Keepers member for over 10 years and a member of the Lowell Area Chamber of
Commerce.  Roger was a strong and active supporter of the Lowell community, the
Lowell YMCA, Lowell Area Arts Council and owner for 22 years of the State Farm
Insurance Agency in Lowell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Beatrice and Duane Chapman.  He is
survived by his children, Roger Chapman of Grand Rapids and Kelly (Mark) Maatman
of Decatur, Ill.; brother, Stanley (Edie) Chapman; sisters, Belinda (Jim)
Frantom, Vickie Chapman and Mickie Chapman; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were held Dec. 22, at the Lakewood United Methodist Church,
with Rev. David L. Flagel, officiating.  Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery. 
Arrangements were entrusted to the Roth-Gerst Funeral home, Lowell.  In lieu of
flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lakewood United Methodist Church
Building Fund, 10265 E. Brown Rd., Lake Odessa, Michigan 48849.
