The Belding Banner, Thursday, September 22, 1898

Hannah Chapman, mother of James Chadwick, died September 11, aged 72 years.  
The funeral services took place at Green’s church were a large number came to 
pay their last respects to the deceased.  The Baptist clergyman from 
Greenville, Elder Barlow, preached an effective sermon.
