Ionia Standard, 12 Feb 1915

The remains of Mrs. Amanda Arnold Chapman arrived in Ionia Fri. morning from
Muscatine, Iowa, where she died.  Deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Chauncey Arnold, pioneer residents of Ionia county and lived in South Ionia many
years.  She had been twice married, but both former husbands are dead, as is
also her daughter, the sole survivor of the family being a son, Arthur, who with
his wife, and a sister of deceased, Mrs. Swarthout of Chicago, accompanied the
remains to Ionia.  The funeral service was attended at the Baptist church on
Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock.

[Transcriber’s note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that she was
buried in Highland Park Cemetery.]
