Christopher “Chris” Carey Chapman, age 56, of Ionia, a loving father, son and
brother, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015, of Cancer at Heartland Health Care
Center in Ionia.  

Chris was the son of Clifford and Helen Chapman and is survived by daughter,
Marissa Chapman; and two grandchildren, Xavier and Jasmin Begerow; as well as
six brothers and two sisters.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen
Chapman; and his son, Christopher Chapman Jr.

There will be a celebration of Life Dinner and Benefit on June 14, 2015, at 1
p.m. at the home of his niece, Morgan Prescott, at 6767 Belding Road, Belding,
MI.  This will be a casual event to celebrate Chris’ life as well as a benefit
to help the family with expenses.

Chris was always there to help others if he could and had a heart of gold.  He
was a hardworking man who lived his children and family.  He will be greatly
missed, but never forgotten.

Chris will be buried with his son, Christopher, at a later date.  Those wishing
to make a memorial contribution in Chris’ honor are asked to consider the needs
of the family.  The family is being served by Hurst Funeral Home of Greenville.
