Bronchial pneumonia resulting from an attack of whooping cough was the cause of death. The funeral service will be conducted from the residence Monday afternoon at two o’clock. Interment will be in Highland Park. ------------ The funeral for Robert Edwin Chapman, fifteen-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Sumner Lee Chapman, was held Monday afternoon from the house at 2:30. Rev. E.E. Branch officiated and was assisted by Rev. M.L. Marshall. There was no singing. The bearers were Misses Ruth and Eunice Burnett. At the cemetery, because of the condition of the ground, Myles Merriett, Fred Fisher, Vean Sayles and Glenn Crane acted as bearers. Burial was in Highland Park. The child came down with whooping cough New Year’s day and was taken suddenly worse Friday with an attack of bronchial pneumonia from which he died.
