Mrs. Emma Chapman, 60, prominent in Belding church circles died at her home 
Sunday, following a brief illness.  She was a past worthy matron of the Order 
of the Eastern Star and active as a member of the Ladies’ Literary club.  

The funeral was held on Wednesday.  She is survived by two sons, Charles, of 
Grand Rapids and Clayton of Detroit and one sister, Mrs. Etta McLaughlin of 
Belding.
