Ionia Sentinel Standard - July 1, 2011


Patrick Lee Charles, 43, of Canton, passed away June 29, 2011 in Howell. He was 
born June 25, 1968 in Ionia the son of Rudy and Claudia (VanBuren) Charles.

He graduated in 1986 from Ionia High School. Patrick married Diana Mecham in 
Farmington Hills Dec. 6, 1997. He was a member of St. John’s Neumann Catholic 
Church, (EEA) Experimental Aviation Association, of Plymouth.

Patrick is survived by his loving wife of 13 years Diana Charles; son Evan 
Charles at home; daughter, Madison Charles at home; parents Rudy and Claudia 
Charles of Lyons; brothers. Michael R. Charles of Ionia and Paul (Debra) 
Charles of Lyons; sister Rebecca (Matt) Kasper of Muir; grandmother, Myrtle 
Davids of Lyons and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2011, 11 a.m. at St. John’s 
Neumann Catholic Church in Canton. Visitation will be held one hour prior to 
service at the Church. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 
6, 2011 at Lyons Cemetery in Lyons. Arrangements by Lake Funeral Home of Ionia.
