Wolford and James Rounds. Mr. Charles was born on what is now the Nathan Greeno farm in North Plains, and all his life was spent in that vicinity until a few years ago when he and his nephew, Paul L. He was a man of sterling integrity and an inveterate worker, he and his brother, William Charles, having been known as the best axemen in all the country in their earlier manhood. Besides his brother William, he is survived by another brother, Wallace E. Charles, and a sister, Jane Charles, of Ionia. Interment made in High Park cemetery, Ionia.
