Ionia Sentinel, 19 Sep 1970

Harry Chase, 72, of 248 Wright in South Ionia, died Friday afternoon at his 
residence.

He was born March 7, 1898 in Sparta the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Chase and a 
resident of Ionia many years.  He was employed at Herkimer and Cody hotel in 
Grand Rapids and was a former crossing guard for the Ionia high school safety 
patrol.

Surviving are a son, Albert Chase of Ionia; four daughters, Mrs. Clara Feuss 
and Mrs. Evelyn Ebright of Lansing, Mrs. Caroline Massey of Florida and Mrs. 
Clara Osborne of Saranac; 22 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Myers-Roetman funeral home in 
Ionia.  Rev. James C. Dodson of Miller road Bible church of Lansing will 
officiate and interment will be at Balcom cemetery.
