Charles L. Chase, 73, died in Berlin Township Tuesday morning after a short 
illness.  He was born in Sebewa Township August 12, 1862.  He had been a 
resident for the past thirty years in Ionia and for 12 years worked in the 
bending department in the Reed factory until that department was closed.  
Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Clarence Randall, Mill Street.  Funeral 
services will be held from the Stone funeral home Friday morning at 10 
o’clock.  Rev. Paul Steward will officiate.
