The Ionia Standard, Friday, February 8, 1918
Ionia friends have been advised of the death of Miss Mary Chase, which 
occurred at Charlevoix, on Sunday, while she was there on a visit at the home 
of her sister.  With her brother, Geo. F. Chase of Albion, she went to 
Charlevoix on Wednesday of last week to visit, and was stricken suddenly ill, 
passing away on Sunday evening.  Her father and mother are buried in the 
family lot in Highland Park, and the remains will be brought here on Thursday 
morning at 7:08, Grand Trunk train, for burial.  Bradley’s mortuary will have 
the burial.  The family lived in Ionia many years.
