Stafford manufacturing company, was held Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock (sun time) at the North Plains church. The Rev. Mr. Dawson of the Muir church officiated. Workmen of the Stafford Mfg. company found Mr. Chase dead shortly after he had gone to work Monday morning. Heart-trouble is given as the cause of his death. He was a life long resident of the county. It was in North Plains township that Mr. Chase was born 58 years ago. It was about 12 years ago that he came to this city to reside. Prior to that time he was a farmer and had a place north of Muir. He was a member of the Woodman lodge. Besides the widow, Mr. Chase is survived by five children, Joseph Chase of Medford; Mrs. Sarah E. Hull of Gaylord; Mrs. Theresa Martin of Hubbardston; Mrs. Adelah Hull of Ionia, and Mrs. Hazel Sowers of Ionia; two brothers, George Chase of Muir and James Chase of North Plains township.
