Ionia Sentinel Standard, 31 Aug 1921

Mrs. Malissa A. Chase died at the home of her son, Sherman Chase, in South
Ionia, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock.  At the time of her death Mrs. Chase was
85 years of age.  The cause of death was given as old age.  The funeral will be
held from the residence Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the residence.  Rev.
R.E. Meader will officiate and burial will take place in Highland Park.
