The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, June 3, 1935

Mrs. George Cheetham, 69, formerly of Saranac, died at her home in Grand 
Rapids early Monday morning about 3 o’clock after an extended illness.

She was born in Ionia county, December 24, 1868, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 
Martin Painter.  She was married to George Cheetham and lived on a farm west 
of Saranac until about 20 years ago when they moved to Grand Rapids.  She was 
a member of the Lowell Methodist church.

Surviving are her husband, two adopted daughters, one in Chicago and one in 
Florida.

Funeral services will be held from the Lowell Methodist church Wednesday 
afternoon at 2 o’clock.  Interment will be at the family lot at Saranac.
