Mrs. Harriet Chick passed away at the home of her son, Fred, Sunday afternoon.  
Death was expected as she has been ill for some time.  Mrs. Chick was one of 
Hubbardston’s early pioneers and many friends mourn her departure.  She was 
born in Matherton on July 28, 1843, and came to Hubbardston to live when she 
was thirteen.  She was united in marriage to James Chick in 1868 and three 
children blessed their married life.  Of these two survive: Fred Chick, who 
resides here, and Mrs. Ed Sessions, of Northville.  The funeral services will 
be held from the M. E. church at 10:00 o’clock Wednesday morning.
