Ionia Sentinel Standard, 9 Mar 1964

Berthold A. Chickering, 86, former resident of Orleans, died Sunday at Portage,
Wis., after a brief illness.  He moved to Wisconsin from Orleans about 10 years
ago.

His wife, Mabel and a son, Maurice preceded him in death.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Anne Edlin of route two, Belding; four
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and a brother, Ernest of Belding route
one.

Funeral services will be at Ellis-Danol funeral home in Belding Wednesday at 2
p.m. with the Rev. Lee G. Long of Orleans Methodist church officiating and
interment at Green cemetery.  Bearers will be Herbert, Alfred and George
Chickering, Harold Wooldridge, Rollo Kilborn and Wendell Magers.
