Ionia Daily Standard, 23 Jan 1919

Sylvester Chickering, who has been in very poor health for the past year, passed
away at his home Saturday morning.  The funeral services were held at the house
Tuesday afternoon, and the burial was in Green’s cemetery.  Mr. Chickering was a
life-long resident of the township and will be much missed as he was well known
for miles around.  The sympathy of many friends is extended the bereaved family.

[Transcriber Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that he was the son
of George and Clasey (Fales) Chickering.]
