Mr. Chickering had been sick for two years of a complication of diseases. His wife, who was Matilda Fisher at the time of her marriage is practically helpless, having lost both of her legs which had to be amputated to check the poison caused by diabetes. A son, Carlton, died two years ago as the result of an automobile accident. Besides the widow, two other sons, William and Alton survive. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Rachael Post, of Orleans, and a brother, Dan, living in the west.
