Aaron Thomas Chickering, 32, passed away at his home September 1, 2003 after a 
courageous battle with cancer.  He was born July 8, 1971 the son of Thomas and 
Jean (Johnson) Chickering.  He graduated from Saranac High School in 1989.  He 
married Shannon Denny September 23, 1995 in Ionia.  He was employed at 
Pfeiffer Lincoln Mercury.  He enjoyed motorcycles, BMX riding and playing the 
guitar.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shannon Chickering of Saranac; precious 
son, Hunter at home; father, Thomas J. (Marilyn) Chickering of Greenville; 
mother, Jean Chickering of Grand Rapids; father and mother-in-law, Lyle 
(Butch) and Diane Denny of Saranac; grandparents Ken (Donna) Johnson of 
Orleans; brother, Chris Chickering of Hastings; sisters, Tammi (Greg) Kneale 
of Lake Odessa, Darcey (Brian) Ohara of Garden; brothers-in-law, Craig (Kim) 
Denny of Saranac, Cody Denny of Saranac; sisters-in-law, Amanda Burgess of 
Midland, Robin (Andy) Weber of Grand Rapids, Sara Ellison of Ionia, Erin 
(Michael) Papson of Perry; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia with 
Rev. Tim Batmen and Rev. John Kirkman officiating.  Interment Balcom 
Cemetery.  The family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday 7 p.m. to 
8:30 p.m. and Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at 
the funeral home.  Anyone wishing may make a donation for the trust fund for 
Hunter Chickering.
