Linda K. Chickering, 50, of Belding passed away Sept. 12, 2004 in Seville 
Township, Mich. of accidental injuries.

She was born in Lansing, July 8, 1954, the daughter of Leon and Frances 
(Schueller) Pohl. She attended St. Patrick Catholic School and graduated 
from Portland High School Class of 1972. Linda was a member of St. Joseph 
Catholic Church in Belding, the Belding Gardeners, and was active with 
Hospice in Grand Rapids. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother and soon to 
be grandmother. She loved gardening, flowers and spending time with her 
family.

She was preceded in death by sister, Nancy Pohl in 1964, father, Leon Pohl 
in 1962 and sister, Barbara Jean Clark in 1986.

She was married on Sept. 29, 1972 to George Chickering at St. Patrick 
Catholic Church in Portland and he survives along with their children, Jesse 
and Heather Chickering of Hart and Nik Chickering of Belding. Also surviving 
are her mother, Frances Pohl of Portland, brothers and sisters, Dave Pohl of 
Portland, Jane (Michael) Honsowitz of Eagle, Diane (Robert -) Reddick of 
Fenwick, Deb (Doug) Schneider of Portland, Steve Pohl of DeWitt; father-in-
law and mother-in-law, George and Marjorie Chickering of Belding, sister-in-
law, Vickie Chickering of Midland; nieces and nephews and many special 
friends.

Mass of Christian burial was held Sept. 16, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 
Belding, with Fr. CK officiating, Interment followed in St. Joseph Catholic 
Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, 
Belding.

Contributions may be made to Belding Gardeners, Hospice of Michigan and St. 
Joseph Catholic Church.
