Ionia Sentinel Standard, 30 Jun 1975

Daisy A. Chickering, 86, of 3386 Chickering road, died unexpectedly Saturday at
her home.  Born in Berlin township March 13, 1889, she was the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Doty and was a member of the Lamberts Mothers club.

Her husband, Ernest Chickering, died in 1965.  Surviving are three sons, Herbert
and Alfred of route 2, Belding, and Robert of Portage, Wisc; 15 grandchildren;
37 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren; sister, Maud Howe
of Belding and brother, Hubert Doty of Ionia.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Huffman funeral home at
Belding.  Roger Wright will officiate and interment will be at Greens cemetery,
near Belding.  A memorial has been established for the Belding library.
