Mrs. Mattie M. Childs, 67, of Saranac died at the Ionia Convalescent home on 
North Jackson street Friday morning at 6:45 o'clock after being a patient there 
since Saturday.

She was born December 19, 1889, in Berlin township and resided there until her 
marriage when she moved to Saranac where she had lived since then.

Surviving her are the husband, Norman; two sons, Murl, at home and Harold of 
Plainwell; a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Benjamin, of Lansing; seven grandchildren; 
a brother, Glenn Middleton of Saranac; and a sister, Mrs. Bertha Winegar, of 
Saranac.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:50 p.m. from the Morris funeral home, 
Saranac, wit interment in Saranac cemetery.
