Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard - Friday, July 17, 1953

SARANAC- Norman Childs, 79, of Saranac, dies Thursday, July 14 at 6:30 p.m. at 
the Eckert Nursing Home. He had been a patient there one month.

He was born in Michigan in 1873. He lived most of his life in and around 
Saranac.
Surviving him are two sons, Murl of Saranac and Harold of Lyons; a daughter, 
Mrs. Thelma Benjamin, of Saranac; and 12 grandchildren.

Services will be held at the Morris funeral home Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. 
Glen McCarty will officiate. Interment will be in Saranac cemetery.

His bearers will be Gerald Adgate, George Eddy, Max Densmore, Phil  Andres, 
Clarence Freer and Paul Cranford.
