Ionia Sentinel Standard, 10 Dec 1984

Funeral services have been held in Louisiana for Harold M. Childs, 70, of
Cecelia, La., former Saranac resident, who died there on Dec. 5.  He was born in
Saranac Dec. 3, 1914, the son of Norman and Mattie Middleton Childs.  He farmed
in the Saranac area and worked at Mitchell-Bentley Corp. in Ionia before moving
to Louisiana in the 1950s.

Surviving are five sons, Charles, Robert, Harold Jr., Ivana and William, all of
Louisiana; three daughters, Joyce Tyler of Ionia, Martha Ann Taylor of
Louisiana; and Leila of Florida; several grandchildren and several great
grandchildren; one brother, Murl Childs of Saranac; and one sister, Mrs. Sherle
(Thelma) Benjamin of Saranac.

Funeral services and burial were in Louisiana.
