Ionia Standard, 16 Apr 1886

Mrs. Martha A. Chipman died Tuesday afternoon of this week after a sickness of 
about five weeks.  For a week previous to her death it was seen that her life 
work was ended.  She was an earnest worker in the temperance cause, and for many 
years a consistent and conscientious member of the Baptist church of this 
village.  The funeral services were held from the Baptist church yesterday 
afternoon.
