He was born in Otisco township, December 7, 1870 the son of William and Viola Choate, pioneer residents of the township. He had lived most of his life in Belding. He was advertising distributor for the merchants of Belding and others for many years until his health forbid him to do this work any longer. At this work he was a familiar sight on the streets. His survivors are one sister, Mrs. Herman Heether and one brother, Bert Choate, both of whom live at the old Choate home at 720 S. Bridge street. Funeral services will be held at Fitzjohn funeral home on Friday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. H. S. Ellis officiating and the burial will be in River Ridge cemetery.
