Chorley, 66 of 3rd. Avenue, Lake Odessa passed away Wednesday, June 29, 1994 at Blodgett Medical Center, Grand Rapids. Mr. Chorley was born May 25, 1928 in Algodon the son of Frank and Gertrude (Neeb) Chorley. He graduated from Lake Odessa High School in 1946 and married Joan Merritt July 3, 1948 in Lake Odessa. Mr. Chorley was employed at the Lake Odessa Machine Products, Pere Marquette Railroad and Oldsmobile in Lansing for 32 years, retiring in 1982. He was a dedicated member of the Lake Odessa Historical Society. Mr. Chorley was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gordon and Gaylord; one granddaughter, Tonya Chorley. He is survived by his wife, Joan; two daughters, Mrs. David (Sue) Trutsch of Caledonia, Cathy Rice of Wyoming; one son, Paul and wife Peg Chorley of Pionciana, Florida; five grandchildren, Brian, Mary and Katy Trutsch, Paul Rice and Amanda Chorley; one sister, Helen Vida of Plymouth. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 2, at the Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake Odessa with John Waite officiating. Burial in Lakeside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lake Odessa Historical Society for the Depot Restoration.
