Chrisman, age 90, of Ionia passed away March 4, 2023. She was born July 27, 1932 to the parents of Ruby (Bentley) and Clifford Parcher. Married to Robert Chrisman on May 15, 1982. Her husband, parents, sister, Wanetta (Hume) and brothers, Donald and Lewis Parcher; two sisters-in- law, Sharon (Chrisman) Meyers and Jackie (Chrisman) Meyers preceded her in death. Surviving are Virginia's four children, Judy (Dave) Porter, Cliff (Bonnie) Fry, Jack Fry and Jill (Randy) Thompson and sister-in-law Kathy (Norman) Denny. She was loved dearly by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews and her fiends. Her family was her life, and she had a close relationship with each one. Virginia had several occupations including running her parents general store in Palo, factory worker, waitressing, cashier, owned a restaurant in Saranac, and for 36+years owned/managed several Adult Foster Care Homes until she retired last June at 89.She loved people and always cated for others which brought her tremendous joy and many blessings. Her faith was strong, and she was a great prayer warrior for her family and others. She loved cooking and baking, enjoyed playing cards and board games crocheting, reading her Bible, and camping during fair week at the Ionia Free Fair. There will be a Celebration of her life at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia on Saturday March 11, 2023 from 1:00-3:00 pm with a short memorial service directly following visitation by Chaplain Kathy Bartels. Memorial contributions may be given to St.Jude's Children Hospital or Ionia Community Awareness. Arrangement in care of Lake Funeral Home.
