April 15,1985 ANDREW T. CHRISTENSEN PORTLAND-Funeral services for Andrew T. Christensen, 74, of Hot Springs, Ark., formerly of 2890 West Grand River, Portland, who died late Friday evening, will be held at 1 p.m. today from the Neller Funeral Home, with the Rev Dow Chamberlain officiating. Born Dec.9, 1910, in Sibley, Ill., he was the son of Thomas and Sophia Boettger Christensen. He moved to Michigan 1937 and took over operation of his father's farm, continuing until retirement in 1968, when his son Kenneth assumed responsibility. He was also a drainage contractor in the Portland area for 20 years He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Anchor, Ill. His first wife,, Hazel, died in 1959. He is survived by his wife, Rose; a son, Kenneth Christensen of Portland, and a daughter, Virginia Click, Also of Portland; four grandchildren; one brother, Floyd, of Waterloo, Wis.; a sister, Dorothy Hillary of Melvin, Ill.; and aunt, Dora Davenport, of Portland. Burial will be in Portland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Earl Esterline, Jacob Weller, Wayne Foote, Charles Minkley, Weldon Brown and Marvin Lawless.
