Christiansen, 95, formerly of Belding died on Thur., Sept. 13, 2001 at Metron of Belding. She was born on Oct. 9, 1905 in Moorestown, to John and Hattie L. (Wright) Slocum. She was raised by her uncle and aunt, Wm. and Edith Andersen. She worked at D&C Store in Belding in the 1950’s. She was a member of Belding Bible Church and past president of Blue Star Mothers. She loved people and helping them. She loved her church and most of all God and family. She was married to Clarence Annis on Oct. 10, 1921, he preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1929. She married Clarence Christiansen on June 19, 1930, he preceded her in death on June 9, 1989. She is survived by daughter, Laverna (Cecil) Mathewson of Belding; sons, Richard (Jacqueline) Christiansen of Ionia, Roger (Twyla) Christiansen of Planifield, Ill., Clarence (Marylou) Christiansen of Rockford, Ill., and Arthur (Jene) Annis of Sebastopol, Calf,; two half-sisters, Bernice Taylor of Belmont and Helen Farmer of Three Rivers; three half-brothers, John (Dorothy) Peck of Greenville, Emerson (Rosemary) Peck of Mesa, Ariz. and Victor (Doris) Peck of Anaheim, Calf.; 23 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several great, great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sons, a baby in 1936, Lewis Annis 1991, Hiram Annis 1977 and Leroy Annis in 1973; daughter Elizabeth Christiansen in 1931; two granddaughters and two grandsons. Funeral committal service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday at Huffman Funeral Home, Belding. Rev. Kenneth Martin officiating. Interment Riverside Cemetery Langston (lot 285). Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and one hour prior to service Saturday. Memorials may be made to Belding Bible Church or Hospice.
