                    THOMAS LEE CHRISTIANSEN

Thomas Lee Christiansen, 76, of Palo, loving husband, father and grandfather 
passed away on Monday, June 14, 2010. He was born on Nov. 20, 1933, in Trufant 
the son of Richard and Ila Christiansen.

Thomas retired from General Motors after 30 years of service.He enjoyed hunting, 
fishing, playing cards and especially spending time with his grandchildren. On 
July 18, 1953 he married Shirley Smith and together they shared 56 years of 
marriage.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Donald Christiansen and 
Richard Christiansen.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley of Palo; children Kim Christiansen of Palo, 
Tonda (Berry) Bennett of Carson City, Barry Christiansen of Palo and Khristie 
(Bruce) Cook of Portland; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings 
Linda (Fred Heintzelman) Koch of Texas, Dennis Christiansen of Chippewa 
Lake,Beverly (Duane) Wilson of Nevada, Shirl (Walter) Hazen of Chippewa Lake and 
Wanda (Dave) Young of Chippewa Lake; sisters-in-law Virginia Christiansen of 
Caledonia, Susie Christiansen of Ionia, and Pam (Tony) Perrella of Nevada; 
brother-in-law Charles (Carol) Smith of Ionia many nieces and  nephews.

The Memorial Service will be conducted by Pastor Kenneth Harger at 11 a.m., 
Thursday, June 17,, 2010, at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., 
Ionia.Interment will be in Palo Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 2 to 4  and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral 
home.
