Daily Standard (Pg. 4) - Tuesday, Feb. 19, 1901

Mrs. Christina Christie, widow of John B. Christie, passed peacefully and 
painlessly away at 2;30 this morning, at the home only recently purchased by 
her, No. 115 South Jackson street. Deceased had long been in feeble health, and 
during the week past, death was hourly impending. Mrs. Christie was aged 45 
years. She was born in Pennsylvania, and came to Ionia with her husband and 
children, from Fort Wayne, Ind., and one son, Will, have preceded her to the 
Heavenly home; three children are yet living, Charles C., Walter and Mamie. 
Funeral on Thursday afternoon , attended from the Church of Christ.
