Mr. Chrysler was 82 years old and for ten years had been in ill health. Born in Keene township September 30, 1856, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Chrysler, he lived in Ionia county all of his life, with the exception of five years spent in Nebraska and Kansas during his young manhood. His marriage to Miss Nettie Taggart took place in December 1882 and they resided at Dildine until 1902, when they came to Ionia. Mrs. Chrysler died in April 1913. A year later he married Miss Lydia Van Deusen, who survives him. Mr. Chrysler and William Sly of W. Main street, started the first free delivery service in the city of Ionia. Later Mr. Chrysler was employed at the Michigan Reformatory but retired about 16 years ago. Rev. C. A Brady will conduct the funeral service which will be from the Boynton Funeral chapel at two o’clock Friday afternoon, April 28. Burial will be in Easton cemetery.
