She had been a patient five and one- half weeks. She was born September 7, 1871 in Lowell and attended Lowell and Kent county schools. She was the daughter of Hiram and Lena Hatchew VanDeusen. Following her graduation she worked five years in the office of the late L.P. Hicks in Lowell. In 1904 she went to Wheatland, Wyo., for her health and while there was employed as bookkeeper for D.C. Miller department store. She returned to Michigan in 1907 and with that exception had spent her entire life in Ionia and Kent counties. May 19, 1915, she was married to Herbert Chrysler and came to Ionia to reside at 240 East Main street. Mr. Chrysler died April 26, 1939. For many years Mrs. Chrysler was a member of the First Christian church and was a former member of the Women’s Literary club. She was a life member of the Cyclamen Chapter OES of Lowell. Surviving are several cousins. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Myers funeral home with the Rev. Floyd Emshwiller officiating.
