Three Pioneers of the City Die in a Day

Portland, Mich., April 19 - Three pioneer residents of this village have died 
in the last 24 hours. William A. Staley, 72, ex-postmaster and prominent 
farmer; James H. Churchill, 72, merhcant, and Diana Dingman, 84, a florist are 
dead. All had been lifelong residents of the community.
