F. Cilley, mother of Elmer F. Cilley, of this city, died on Monday at noon, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Newton, of Hastings, after an illness of three weeks. She was eighty years old, and belonged to one of the pioneer families of the country. She was born in New Hampshire, but at the age of twenty-three moved to Michigan, where she made her home in Boston township on the same farm which the family occupied for fifty-seven years afterward. Mr. and Mrs. Cilley were the parents of seven children, five boys and two girls, five of whom are still living. They are Rev. R. B. M. Cilley of Leslie, Mrs. Palmer, of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Addie Newton of Hastings, Wellington C. Cilley of Parksville, and Elmer of Ionia. The husband died several years ago at the age of sixty-nine years. The time of the funeral is not yet set, but it will probably be held on Wednesday, with interment in the South Boston cemetery.
