Cilley, aged 69 years, 5 mos. The funeral was held Tuesday, Rev. J. T. Husted officiating. John F. Cilley was born in Danver, N. H. in June 1821 and in early childhood went with his parents to Vermont where in 1842 was married to Sarah Chamberlain who died in 1846, leaving him a two months old daughter – now Mrs. H. C. Palmer. In 1850 he was married to Almira Tucker – who survives him – at Henniker, N. H. and in 1855 came to Michigan and settled on the homestead in So. Boston, where he lived until about 5 years ago when he came to this village – and which farm he still owned at the time of his death. He was respected and esteemed by all with whom he came in contact. In his political beliefs he was an earnest and consistent Republican and had been a Justice of the Peace in Boston 16 consecutive years. He leaves a wife and seven children—five sons and two daughters—to mourn his loss. He was well known throughout this section and his family have the sincerest sympathy of a host of friends in their bereavement.
