Henry (Porter) Clack, age 94, of Ionia, passed away Jan. 1, 2008 in Ionia.  He 
was born Nov. 24, 1913 in Freemont, Tenn. the son of John Porter and Cora 
Oliver (Remley) Clack.  He married Ellen Randall Nov. 20, 1954 in Ionia. He 
was involved with the Civilian Conservation Corp.

Porter is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Ellen Clack of Ionia; 
daughter, Susan (Ned) Bogert of Ionia; brothers, Howard Clack of Ionia and 
Clifford (Erma) Clack of Wyandotte; grandchildren Jeremy Bogert and Justin and 
Annette Bogert; great-grandchildren, Kyler, Zachary and Emma and several 
nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Marie and 
two brothers Leonard and John.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 2 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia 
with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating.  The family will receive friends and 
relatives Friday 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers you may 
make contributions in Porter’s name to Alzheimer’s Foundation or National Bone 
Marrow Registry, kits available at funeral home.
