Clark, aged 41 years, passed away at the home of his sister, Mrs. Bert Cole, at Jackson, Saturday evening at six o’clock, following a several months illness. Last winter Mr. Clark contracted pneumonia which was followed by other complications and some time ago he was taken to the hospital at Ann Arbor for treatment, remaining there until shortly before his death, when he was removed to the home of his sister at Jackson. The remains arrived in Portland, Monday afternoon, and the funeral was held from the residence of his mother, Mrs. Harriet Clark, Wednesday, in charge of Rev. Taggart. Interment was made in Portland cemetery. Besides the mother he is survived by three sisters and one brother, Mrs. Cole, of Jackson at whose home his death occurred, Mrs. Brokaw of Lansing, Mrs. Frank Whitman of Portland and John Clark of Lansing.
