Ionia Standard, 25 Jun 1909

Helen A. Bartlett was born in Springfield, Erie county, N.Y., November 6, 1843, 
died in Cedar Falls, Iowa, June 5, 1909.  She came to Ionia when but a child 
and lived here until eight years ago when she went to Cedar Falls to be near 
her daughters.  She was married in Muir, Mich., January 1, 1863, to George W. 
Clark, who with two daughters, Mrs. Lelona Bley and Mrs. Inez Bley, of Cedar 
Falls, Iowa, and one son, Raymond B. Clark of Grand Rapids, Mich., survive her; 
also one sister, Mrs. Cora Perham of this city.

She was a devoted member of the Church of Christ, never absent from the church 
services as long as her health would permit, but for the last ten years has 
been a great sufferer, confined to a wheel chair.

Funeral services were held at the home of her daughter, Monday, June 7, and she 
was laid to rest in Greenwood cemetery, Cedar Falls, Iowa, by Rev. Noah 
Gorwick, pastor of the Church of Christ, Waterloo, Iowa.
