Clark, died on August 16th, 1918, aged 55 years, 10 months and 6 days, leaving surviving him, his widow, Alice F. Clark, one sister, Mrs. George Percival, numerous nephews and nieces, and a host of friends who loved him for his sterling honesty, upright integrity and loving generosity. For many years he was an active and helpful member of the Methodist church, and a regular attendant at all the public services, until ill health necessitated the omission of those duties. To those of us who were privileged to enjoy intimate association with him, a strong and abiding love for him grew and developed in our hearts, and for us remains the consolation of knowing that for him now “Life’s fitful fever is o’er.” He is at rest. We, who have known him and loved him, and have realized how his suffering during the last few months of his life was gradually weakening his mental powers, have an unfaltering trust in the promise of the Redeemer to His followers: “I go to prepare a place for you, that where I am there may ye be also, and that our loved one is safely “At Home.” To us remain the grief and lonely hours. For him, rest, perfect rest. File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/mi/ionia/obits/c/clark12007nob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/mifiles/ File size: 1.7 Kb
