Ionia County News, 22 Oct 1936

Reatha Jeanne Clark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Trevor Clark, died at his home in 
Detroit early Wednesday morning, October 21, after an illness of two years.  
She was born in Portland in February 1932, and was an only child.  The funeral 
will be held from the residence of her grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. H.L. Imes, 
Friday morning at ten o’clock.

Always a patient and happy child even in her greatest suffering, Reatha Jean 
endeared herself to everyone and her sunny smile and cheery childish presence 
will be greatly missed in the home and among a wide circle of friends.  At the 
age of one and half years she was made a member of the beginners class of the 
Methodist Sunday school and attended as long as she was able to do so.

Besides her parents she leaves her grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. .L. Imus, Ionia, 
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Clark, Lake Odessa, and two great-grandmothers, Mrs. W.J. 
Boerem, Owosso, and Mrs. Jane Carbaugh, Ionia.
