Born in Ramona, Kans., on March 17, 1899, she was the daughter of Charles and Anna Bowen Hughes. She moved at the age of five with her parents to Howard City where she attended school. She was married in Muskegon in 1921 to William J. Clark and they then moved to the Ionia area. He preceded her in death in 1963. She was a member of Little White church on South State road. Surviving are a son, Robert Clark of Ionia; three daughters, Mrs. LaVern Greenhoe of Ionia, Mrs. James Thacker of Belding and Mrs. L. A. Russell Helmer of Ionia; 20 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother, William Hughes of Lansing. Funeral services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Leddick funeral home. Rev. Edna Jean Horn will officiate and interment will be at Highland Park cemetery. Subsequent Publication: Monday, October 18, 1971 Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred F. Clark, 72, of Olmstead road, Muir, were at 3 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Jean Horn of Little White church officiating. Bearers were Gary Prater, Dennis Helmer, Michael and Kevin Thacker, Darwin White and Charles Clark. Burial was in Highland Park cemetery.
