The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, March 12, 1963


William J. Clark, 71, of 31 Stevenson place died at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ionia 
County Memorial hospital where he had been a patient three days.

He was born in Rockford, December 23, 1891, the son of Alvah II and Mary Duffy 
Clark, and had lived in Ionia since his marriage February 4, 1921 to Mildred 
Hughs.

Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. LaVern Greenhoe of Ionia, Mrs. 
Francis Helmer of Saranac, and Mrs. James Thatcher of Ligonier, Ind.; a son, 
Robert Clark of Hereford, Texas; 19 grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Arvilla 
Vaillancourt of Jackson.  A son, Charles, preceded him in death in August 1960.

Funeral service will be at Boynton funeral home Thursday at 2 p.m. with 
interment at Highland Park cemetery.

Funeral service for William J. Clark, 71, of 31 Stevenson place, who died 
Tuesday was held Thursday at 2 p.m.  The Rev. Lewis Horn, pastor of Assembly of 
God church, officiated and interment was at Highland Park cemetery.

Out of town persons attending were Mr. and Mrs. Felix Vaillancourt of Jackson, 
Mr. and Mrs. George Bush, Mrs. Clarence Bush and Mrs. Fred Orvillis of Benton 
Harbor; Mrs. James Thacker of Ligonier, Ind., and Mrs. Francis Helmer of 
Saranac.
